These are for creativer new yorkers, who know all about new york!?

Ok so in life i want to do many things they're all creative (i would say) my number one thing is to get into the film industry i really want to be a screenwriter and director and i know new york and cali are the best places to go for that and i need to know what is the best college for film? there are so many and they all seem awesome when i researched them and i plan to go visit ny and see for myself which college is right for me, but i really want opinions of people who actually have lived in new york and who the true "hot spots"...lol please your advice is apreciated!(:
