Would you read a book like this?

Set in the late 18th century England (but it wouldn't be boring or anything, if that's how you interpret that time set, it'd be a little more.. twisted? I guess) A young, and mysterious/strange Earl (18) with a history of abuse from his father, who claimed his entire being was a sin, finds a girl (13) on the street who claims to have escaped from a series of tunnels beneath the roads that were used as a prison for children/teenage street urchins. He offers his and his butler's help to rescue someone from the prison for her, but in return he will take her as his wife so his uncle won't marry him to his (his uncle's) daughter.
