Identity Protection: Hollywood Industry or/vs. Air Force Service?

I'm considering going into the Air Force, while at the same time pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice so that I can go into Federal government with a TON of experience. NOW, my main dream is to become a screenwriter for Hollywood, making all of the other aforementioned stuff my second career path IF I CAN'T find a way in. Now, say that I serve in the AF, maybe even serve in its OSI or the FBI for a little while before I finally make an industry connection. Would all of that undue exposure to say undercover work, putting away suspects while not even undercover (the fact that they just know your name as the investigator), WOULD it make me a target while I'm in the industry? Because, let's face it. If I were to piss off the wrong cartel, group or family, even if they don't get out, revenge against me is certainly possible...or, would my identity be protected regardless, as long as I don't stray along any of the countries or groups that I caused a stir with?
